India, Day 1...The People

As I mentioned in the previous post, I'm doing a seperate post about the people for each day we were in India. I found them to be completely captivating. So many of them were just filled with life and color. The funny thing is they were just as captivated by and interested in us as we were them! For every picture we took of the local people, there was someone else taking a picture of US! It totally went both ways and I got a kick out of it!

Inside the Qutb Complex. Most of the babies we saw had eyeliner on. (Thanks to Chris for sharing this picture)

These kids were on a field trip (I assume) and they were so stinkin' cute! They were all waving and saying hi and oh, they were just too adorable! :)

Locals taking a break out by the India Gate

Also out by the India Gate, this guy was washing his pants and laying them out on the bushes to dry. I later saw him settle down on the ground for a nap while he waited.

A family working (I took this one from the bus).

Absolutely everywhere we went there were locals trying to sell us stuff. They would often gather around the bus before we even stepped out and some would even knock on the windows trying to get our attention and show us what they had to sell. They were quite persistent! This guy was selling little bird mobiles.

Another merchant, this one was inside Delhi Haat.
